Takeover of HOWIAL by MINDA

For many years, MINDA and HOWIAL have realized projects together where both companies perfectly complement each other. MINDA supplies conveyor systems and presses, while HOWIAL provides finger joint technology. To further intensify this cooperation, a cooperation contract was signed in 2022 enabling cooperation at the operational level in the fields of sales, development, procurement, production, and control technology. Joint successful projects and the good cooperation between employees in day-to-day business were clear evidence for Robert Falch / MINDA and Michael Hofmann / HOWIAL: We are a perfect match!

Thus, the next step was obvious: HOWIAL GmbH & Co. KG was integrated into the MINDA Group on May 16, 2025. 

The merger results in a classic win-win situation for both sides. MINDA gains comprehensive know-how in the field of finger joint technology and HOWIAL gains a powerful partner with international market experience. 

HOWIAL's already extensive portfolio of compact machines and cycle center machines will be expanded soon by joint developments in the higher performance range in order to serve all customers who manufacture engineered wood products on an industrial scale. 

With this acquisition, MINDA secures long-term access to finger jointing systems and further expands its expertise in the field of complete systems. The integration of the finger jointing systems into MINDA's production control technology FlowMate further reduces the number of interfaces, leading to a complete system that is “seamlessly integrated” in terms of software.
